What we collect: We store only your general area (neighborhood and city) — never your exact street address.

How we collect it: With your permission, we use your device's location services or a ZIP code you provide. This is converted to a general area (e.g., "Del Mar, San Diego").

Why we collect it: To help nearby buyers discover your garage sale through location-based search.

Your control: Your exact address is never shared automatically. If a buyer is interested, you decide whether to share your full address with them directly through your own communication channels.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve our services
  • Display your garage sale to potential buyers
  • Enable location-based discovery of nearby sales
  • Process payments for tier upgrades
  • Send important service updates
  • Analyze usage to improve the platform

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers (Supabase for data storage, Stripe for payments, Google for AI analysis, OpenStreetMap for location services)
  • Law enforcement when required by law

5. Public Information

Your garage sale page displays:

  • Your garage sale title and description
  • Your general area (neighborhood/city only)
  • Your item listings and photos

Not displayed publicly: Your email address, exact location, or any contact information. Do not include sensitive personal information in your listings.

No identity verification: TagSnag does not verify the identity of any user. The information displayed on a user's profile or listings is self-reported and has not been confirmed by TagSnag. Exercise caution when interacting with other users.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security. Photos are stored in secure cloud storage. We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data
  • Withdraw location permissions at any time through your device settings

9. Children's Privacy

TagSnag is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
