1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TagSnag, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

TagSnag provides an online platform for users to create and manage virtual garage sales. We offer AI-powered item analysis, photo uploads, location-based discovery, and public garage sale pages.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

4. Location and Privacy

When creating a garage sale, you provide your general location (neighborhood/city) to enable nearby buyers to discover your sale. We do not collect or display your exact street address.

You are solely responsible for deciding when and how to share your exact address with potential buyers. TagSnag does not facilitate or monitor direct communications between buyers and sellers.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant TagSnag a license to display and process your content to provide the service. You agree not to upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.

6. Payments and Upgrades

Paid tier upgrades are one-time payments processed through Stripe. All sales are final. Upgrades provide lifetime access to increased item limits.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use TagSnag to sell illegal items, engage in fraud, harass others, or violate any applicable laws. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Safety and Transactions

TagSnag is a listing platform only. All transactions occur directly between buyers and sellers outside of our platform. We recommend:

  • Meeting in public, well-lit locations when possible
  • Bringing a friend or family member to meetups
  • Using cash or secure payment methods
  • Inspecting items in person before completing a purchase
  • Trusting your instincts — if something feels wrong, don't proceed

TagSnag is not responsible for any disputes, injuries, or losses arising from transactions between users.

9. No Verification of Users or Listings

TagSnag does not verify the identity, background, or creditworthiness of any user. We do not inspect, authenticate, or guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listings, items, or user-provided information.

For buyers: We are not responsible for items that are misrepresented, defective, counterfeit, never delivered, or otherwise not as described. You are solely responsible for evaluating the legitimacy of any listing and seller before completing a transaction.

For sellers: We are not responsible for fraudulent buyers, fake payments, chargebacks, no-shows, theft during meetups, or any other buyer misconduct. You are solely responsible for verifying payment and protecting yourself during transactions.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

TagSnag is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated pricing suggestions. We make no warranty that listings are accurate, that users are trustworthy, or that transactions will be completed successfully. All interactions and transactions between buyers and sellers are solely between those parties, at their own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

TagSnag shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to damages arising from: in-person meetups or transactions, fraud or scams by other users, misrepresented or counterfeit items, failed or disputed payments, theft, personal injury, or any other interaction with another user.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
